Constructed in 1839, the bridge is the oldest covered bridge in Northampton County. It is also the second oldest covered bridge still in existence in the state of Pennsylvania. The bridge is made of timber and is 102 feet long and 12 feet wide. It was originally known as the Leithsville Covered Bridge. However, it was renamed Kreidersville in 1981.
