Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, often referred to as Christmas City, is home to an industrial quarter that dates back to the colonial period and has a very unique and interesting history. The Colonial Industrial Quarter is situated in the heart of Bethlehem’s center and is home to some of the oldest buildings in the city. It is made up of 17 historic structures, most of which date back to the late 18th and early 19th centuries and have been preserved for future generations. This industrial quarter encompassed a significant portion of the city’s earliest development and served as a key part of the city’s industrial heritage. The history of Bethlehem’s industrial quarter began when the city was first named by the Moravians, who founded Bethlehem in 1741. The Moravians were historically very industrious and often sought to expand their influence and influence the economy in the area. This started the production of materials and goods, including furniture, hardware, and other items necessary for daily life.
